Can I visit the farm?
Yes, you can visit the farm through one of our in-person classes, workshops, or events, which are open to the public. We also offer a Friends of the Farm Membership Club, which provides additional opportunities to visit and explore what’s growing throughout the seasons. For our 2024 Flower CSA participants, we also offer an introductory visit to the farm and fields. Please note, due to our small size and limited staff, we are not able to accommodate drop-by visits or requests for private tours at this time. You can check out our Classes & Events, our Members Club, and CSA offerings to see what’s happening on the farm, and you can sign up for our farm newsletter to receive all the latest news!
Can I volunteer on your farm?
We love sharing what we do, but working farms can be hazardous work spaces that require a certain level of skill and commitment, in addition to staff supervision, training, and insurance. For these reasons, we do not offer volunteer opportunities for day-to-day farm work.
If I place an order for flowers or produce, can I come and pick my own?
You can place a pre-paid order for fresh flowers or produce, and we will schedule a convenient time for you to pick up your items at our farm pick-up stand, just alongside the entrance to our farm. We do not offer a pick-your-own program at this time, but we do have plans to develop a teaching garden with U-Pick options in the future. Sign up for our weekly newsletter to be the first to know!
If I come for a farm event, can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately, that’s a firm No. For the protection of our beloved animals and yours, we do not allow entry to dogs or other pets, (aside from trained and licensed service dogs) even if leashed or confined to a car. We raise livestock on our farm which are not compatible with visiting dogs or other pets. Even a kind, mild-mannered dog can get agitated and aggressive when confronting unfamiliar flocks of sheep. We love all animals and want to make sure this is a safe and secure space for the flocks who reside here and an equally pleasant sanctuary for the humans who visit.
Can I order flowers far in advance?
We accept orders up to 2 weeks in advance within the growing season and reserve the right to cancel with a full refund if the weather is not cooperating.
What are the CSA delivery requirements for NYC?
In order to be eligible for delivery, we require a doorman or concierge desk. Flowers will be delivered to your lobby or reception desk between the hours of 9am - 5pm on the designated delivery day. For floral deliveries, we ask that you leave a vase with water in your Lobby so your flowers can stay hydrated until you are able to collect them. We delivery bouquets market-style. For an extra charge, you can purchase your flowers with a jar or vase.
Our delivery zipcodes for Floral CSAs are: 10019, 10023, 10024, 10025, 10036, 10018, 10001, 10011, 10012, 10013, 10014, 10002, 10003, 10009, 10010, 10016, 10017, 10022, 10021, 10028, 10029.
Can I change or cancel my CSA pick-up/delivery date?
Yes, every CSA member is given one pass within a 5-week share to re-schedule a pick-up or delivery date. 48 hours notice is required. Beyond this, we are not able to modify CSA pick-up or delivery weeks, due to the seasonal nature of our flower shares. You are always welcome to gift your weekly share to a friend, colleague, or family member for pick-up or delivery.
Do you make custom orders/bouquets?
Yes, in season, we sure do. Please check out our shop for availability.
