TENDING TO THE LAND

SINCE 2001

We believe everyone should have access to their local farms and know how their flowers, fiber and food are grown. Our approach to farming is rooted in seasonality and sustainability, using natural methods that heal instead of harm. Through a pasture-based regenerative model of agriculture, we prioritize soil health and a balanced, bio-diverse farm ecosystem that lets the beauty of Mother Nature shine bright.

Pure Gotland Yarn | 2-Ply DK Weight, Naturally-Colored
$32.00

Gotland fiber is renowned for its natural lightness and luster, signature bloom, softness and warmth. These qualities make Gotland yarn an exceptionally unique fiber to knit with and to wear. You can read more about this special yarn on our blog.

Our Gotland yarn is 100% pure, breed & batch-specific, shorn right here on our farm and processed locally, at Battenkill Fiber Mill in New York's Hudson Valley.

Each of our skeins is traced back to a single sheep or two, who lends her wool and special energy to each batch of our yarn. In this way, we can preserve the unique, signature grey-scale color and character of each individual fleece. Our 2024 yarn selection showcases the beautiful fiber of Mama Izzy, Lisbeth, Mattina, Madde, and twins, Sister Pia and Brother Per.

Each skein is 100g/4oz, approximately 240 yards.

Raw Honey
from $15.00

Straight from our honeybee hives, coarse-filtered and with loads of healthful goodness, our raw Hudson Valley farm honey is the ultimate natural treat.

For maximum health benefits, our 100% pure raw honey is hand-harvested and never heated. Every summer and fall, we harvest excess honey from the hives on our farm, ensuring we never dip into what the bees, themselves, need to survive. The ultimate holiday treat, each jar is traceable to our apiary and comes hand-labeled, numbered, and packaged in gift boxes with festive ribbons, seasonal foliage and a picture postcard, featuring the magical honeybee.

As a small family farm, we rely on honey sales to fund our farm’s apiary program. What we earn in sales, we put back into the bees—nurturing their natural instincts and providing a safe foraging space, free of chemical pesticides and synthetic fertilizers.

Our 2023 harvest showcases medium-colored summer honey, a delicate blend of mid-summer foraging flavors and always our most popular gift offering.

Elegant glass jars are offered in four convenient sizes.

Everything that we grow on our farm comes from one simple belief: happy and healthy land and livestock produce the highest quality products.

Whether it’s a skein of pure Gotland yarn, a bouquet of fresh seasonal blooms, or a jar of raw summer honey, all of our farm offerings are grown sustainably, with love and care, and in partnership with nature.

Fiber | Gotland Yarn

We shear our sheep on the farm every spring and fall, and from their fine wool fleeces, we produce pure single-source Gotland yarn, which is spun at local mills in the Hudson Valley.

Flowers | Hudson Valley Grown

Few things bring more joy than fresh, fragrant flowers, grown sustainably in local soil. From winter through fall, we grow seasonal cut flowers and foliage, chosen for their beauty and compatibility with our Northeastern climate.

Food | Honey, Berries & More

With the seasons, we grow pesticide-free berries, herbs, edible flowers, raw honey and mushrooms. We also offer a variety of CSA options from spring through the first fall frost.

Farm Classes, Events & Workshops

Through our monthly farm-based and virtual educational programs, we spread the joys of small farming, homesteading, gardening, cooking, and handcrafting to our community and beyond.

Visiting the Farm

Our 12-acre farm in Southern Dutchess County is just 70 miles from New York City.

Due to our small working staff and the inevitable shortness of time on a working farm, we are unable to accommodate drop-by visitors or requests for private tours. However, we do offer a full calendar of seasonal classes and events.
