This soft and intricate cable hat pattern was created by New York-based knitwear designer, Sarah Solomon, and is offered in both a slouch-style hat and a beanie-style. It has been sample tested with our pure Gotland wool and the pattern includes knitting notes specific to our yarn. One skein makes one hat. Two skeins included.
Choose a bundle of DK-weight yarn in your preferred color of light pearl grey, medium silver grey, or dark charcoal grey. Our 2024 yarn selection showcases the beautiful fiber of Mama Izzy, Lisbeth, Mattina, Madde, and twins, Sister Pia and Brother Per.

Gotland yarn is still a rarity in the US and produced mostly from small family farm flocks.
This means the yarn tends to sell out quickly, and we are not able to re-stock until the next shearing cycle. Each distinct color is made available in small quantities only once a year, so we encourage you to purchase enough to finish your project. If in doubt, grab an extra skein because we cannot guarantee that our next batch will be an exact match—in fact, we know it won’t be! That’s the beauty of small-batch farm yarns.
